Bidgood's authorship wasn't confirmed until mid-90s, and the mystery only added to the queer cult classic status of the otherwise commercially unsuccessful film. Shot on 8mm, the film is bursting with bright, otherworldly lighting and intense colors. Alone in his apartment, a pretty rent boy (Bobby Kendall) fantasizes about worlds where he is the central character: a matador, a Roman slave boy and the emperor who condemns him, and the keeper of a harem for whom another man performs a belly dance. And, when cis & hetero presenting, they are sometimes made to feel too straight for gay spaces, and invisible or too queer in mixed environments. This event is a small step towards diminishing pan, queer and gay femme/NB invisibility, enabling and encouraging those folks to connect romantically and physically to others like them, wherever they fall on the gender presentation spectrum. Who can attend: self-identifying women and GNC/NB humans who want to connect with other women and GNC/NB humans.
