If you're not a member yet (you need to be to attend ours or get discounts on the other), now is the time. If you sign up on Fri May 1 as the month begins, you can attend that night's mixer FREE.

- This Fri 5.1 - Taste The Rainbow: community social ($0-10, open to all) - Never been to our kinds of parties or are new to this community? Start here! All are welcome, and no membership is required (but the event is FREE even for $5 Buddy members).

- Next Fri 5.8 - Lip Service: pansexual makeout party ($0-25, members only) - If you're ready for something a little more physical, this is the party that started it all. It remains our signature event, and it's a ton of fun without a lot of pressure.

- Next Fri 5.10 - Sinema Club: exploring gender & sexuality on screen ($0-10, open to all) - It's rare to see sexuality-oriented cinema be treated seriously, and we are here to change that. This month, a cult classic celebrating 55 years since its release in May '71: "Pink Narcissus." It's super charming, super gay, and so visually impactful that you will recognize its influence immediately. And we even have a special guest who's very important to the movie's story!

- Fri 5.17 - Saints & Sinners: pop-up strip club ($0-25 GA / $0-45 VIP, members only) - you GUYS, the lineup! Fair warning: we somehow went heavy on lap dance / champagne room superstars, so the best action will be...personal. Earlybird heavily discounted tix available till this Fri 5.1...we want you to have plenty to throw at the dancers!

- Sun 5.19 - Femmetasia: pop-up strip club 2 ($0-25 GA / $0-45 VIP, members only) - we are soooo excited to give some of our NB / femme boy dancers their own safe space! It's a brand new event for them, and we hope you come out and support after you have fun at Saints on Friday. We can honor HoS discounts for this one, but not combo tix, since all ticket proceeds go to the organizers.

- Fri 5.22 - Dark DecaDance goth dance party ($0-20, open to all) - queer meets kink meets goth. Light play welcome, but mostly it's a social and dance party. It's grown its own micro community in the three years we've been running it, and it's as welcoming and neuro-spicy as the rest of HoS.

- Sat 5.23 - Countdown pansexual play party ($0-50, approved members only) - our private clubhouse invites you for private playtime. Want to indulge in some exhibitionism? Got a date you can't host at home? Want to take Lip Service vibes to the next level? Come on out and play! Hot tip: it's cheaper than a hotel room, and, unlike hotels, we welcome group fun. Feel out the community over the rest of the month, and then come have fun with them here.

People always ask if can join HoS if they are shy, don't have like-minded friends, lack PALs for play parties, have no idea how this whole thing works, don't feel like jumping into sexy activity but want to connect to open-minded humans, etc etc. This party is the answer!

Calling all LGBTQIA+, poly, kink, ENM and other "alternative" dating/sex/gender-aligned humans and their allies. We're creating a protected and judgment-free space for connections, conversations, community, games and interactivity. This is the place to start if you've never been -- and the party is always FREE if you're already a member.

For those of you new to it all: a place to be comfortable in your gender or orientation identity, direct introductions to HoS members new and old; open discussions on varied lifestyles; icebreaker games to welcome you to our club.

For our regulars: a way to ease new friends into our scene; a chance to meet all the new faces you may want to kiss later; a visit with the community even if your PAL is not around.

For everyone: PG-13 tabletop and social games, a charming host to make the introductions and explain all things HoS and sex-positive, and a cozy setting for conversations and future kisses. Be on time! Our icebreaker game, HoS Guest Bingo, runs from 7:30pm until we have a winner: get to know everyone in the room, and win a drink if you're the first to complete your bingo card.

Current host: Miss Scorpio is back hosting the mixer. Come ask her directly anything you want to know about HoS. We've been building this community for you for 10+ years, and hope to be here for 10+ more.

The body's largest sex organ is the brain. Sinema Club stimulates yours with films that are explicitly erotic, homo-romantic, or gender-exploring -- and always thought-provoking. A rousing discussion follows; drinking is encouraged throughout, and mingling happens before, in breaks and after. Plus: free popcorn from our vintage cart. This month's feature: Pink Narcissus (1971)

Just released in a 4k restoration for its 55th anniversary, Pink Narcissus (1971) is an experimental erotic art film written, shot & directed by James Bidgood, largely in his own tiny NYC apartment. Bidgood's authorship wasn't confirmed until mid-90s, and the mystery only added to the queer cult classic status of the otherwise commercially unsuccessful film.

Shot on 8mm, the film is bursting with bright, otherworldly lighting and intense colors. Alone in his apartment, a pretty rent boy (Bobby Kendall) fantasizes about worlds where he is the central character: a matador, a Roman slave boy and the emperor who condemns him, and the keeper of a harem for whom another man performs a belly dance.

Bidgood's unmistakable lush, queer, camp influence still can be seen decades later in the work of photographers Pierre et Gilles &  David LaChapelle, directors John Waters & Zach Snyder ("300"), and even a particular strain of music videos for current musical artists like Chappell Roan and Lil Nas X’.

Our special guest is none other than Bruce Benderson, the writer who identified James Bidgood as the creator of the film in 1998, later writing a 1999 Taschen monograph on him.

Sinema Club is curated and hosted by Phil Guie-Ng (@thatphilguymovies): an inquisitive, ardent longtime film critic who is dying to tell you about movies you haven't heard of yet. As a reviewer at the website Film-Forward, his self-appointed mission was covering documentaries and features about subjects who challenged conventional attitudes about gender, masculinity, and more. When Phil isn't writing about movies, you can find him in Brooklyn taking part in protests on behalf of basic human rights.
