Hello lovelies,

In case you missed it in our last email: we're sending out an SOS for new members & level upgrades. While we've seen some great growth this past month (yay thank you!), there's also been a larger drop than usual in membership, and we're scrambling to keep up. We have wonderful things planned for you this month and of course in June! Help us get there.

Here are more of the positive changes around here, as noted last week:

- Lady Euphoria is officially on board as the new Lip Service host! She will be there to look out for all you new folks, to connect members new and old, and generally be the welcoming face of HoS as you step through the door. New and unsure how this works? We got you!

- To help social connections, we are introducing a new sticker system at Lip Service: shy unicorns and social butterflies can now identify themselves without saying a word. Unicorns: say hi to the butterflies! They love talking to new folks. Butterflies: say hi to the unicorns! They're new or shy or both, and could use a friendly face.

- Our new mid-month social is now named Aftercare, and its aim is to help members to connect to their deeper selves and to each other through guided participatory experiences. If you fear you might be lost at an event with no guidance, or are overwhelmed by this whole sx-positive lifestyle idea, or not sure if/where/how you can fit into the community, start here! We will hold your hand, sometimes literally.

Here's what's coming up in May:

- This Fri 5.9 - Lip Service: pansexual makeout party ($0-25, members only) - our beloved cozy, cute & wholesome kissing party. Wear your sexy best and lock lips with just your play partner(s) or other guests at the one event where making out all night is not just acceptable, but encouraged! Reminder: LS is the ONLY event where you can get vetted in person for Countdown and any other play events; otherwise you have to follow the steps outlined on the HoS site.

- This Sat 5.10 - A totally random pop-up sale! Spring Clean for a May Queen (FREE to all) - Miss Scorpio's official festival season preview + other vendors selling gifts, vintage, crafts, home goods and more. There will even be a FREE section! It's officially a G&S event, but will drop details below for convenience.

- Next Wed 5.14 - Bedroom Badass with Lady Euphoria ($0-30, open to non-members) - A crowd favorite: Intro to Sensation Play. Learn how to engage all senses in your play for a more thrilling full-body experience, with tools or without. No prior knowledge required for this crash course, and we will always tailor the class to the levels of everyone present (so even if you have knowledge of the topic, come on out to take your skills to the next level). Yes, you get to actually try things!

- Next Fri 5.16 - Saints & Sinners ($0-50, members only) - The one and only pop-up skrip clerb fit for the HoS fam. We got six top-notch dancers lined up for your stage and champagne room pleasure (see below), but here's the deal: if we get enough presales by Friday, we will add one -- or even two! -- more. Want more dancers on our stage and in your lap? It's up to YOU.

- Wed 5.21 - Aftercare: a deeper social with Lady Euphoria ($0-10, open to non-members) - So..."Aftercare" as name for our new, more interactive social? What do you think? We wanted to express that this is the event where we can offer the most support, one on one attention, interaction, dialogue, and other ways to create deeper connection than just chat -- though of course we will leave time for that, too.

- Fri 5.23 - Dark DecaDance: goth dance & kink social party ($0-20, open to non-members) - A kink-friendly goth dance party. Earlybird -$5 tickets until Fri May 16!

- Sat 5.24 - Countdown: pansexual play party ($0-50, members only) - Come play fully in our luscious space, with your partner or consenting others. Approvals available in person at Lip Service, or via email as per instructions on our site.

- Sun 5.25 - Sinema Club: exploring gender & sexuality on screen ($0-10, open to non-members) - This month's pick: The Dreamers (2003), Bernardo Bertolucci’s moody, erotic, and dizzying tale set in tumultuous 60s Paris between a set of cinephile twins and a naïve American abroad.

- Wed 5.28 - Bedroom Badass with Lady Euphoria ($0-30, open to non-members) - Sensation Play, a deeper dive. If you feel like you have the basics covered, jump into this one -- but curious humans at all levels of experience are welcome.

Want to vend your art or bring a curated selection of secondhand items? You’ll need to BYO table or racks to set up, and be there at least an hour before event start. No fees, but donations to keep the loft going are hugely appreciated. We suggest 20% from your sales or $50 minimum, whatever is greater -- usual booth fees would be $75+. Bringing items for a swap? You don't need racks, just a large box or bin with your name on it (bags fall over; you need something sturdy). You must take what's left at the end of the day: do not leave any items behind unless we confirm a donation plan. The most thrilling experiences in life engage multiple senses. Tap into this deep well by developing your sensory play skills! In this crash course, we'll talk about the senses, how to play with them individually and use them together to build an exhilarating play scene. We'll talk about common sensory activities -- like using different textures, bondage, impact play and sensation deprivation. We'll also talk about how to layer certain sensations to create specific sensory experiences. While this is an introduction workshop, we will touch on how varied sensation play can be and how you can truly customize it to your bodies and preferences. Feel free to bring toys your curious about and be ready to ask questions on how to incorporate a new sense into your play!

All BB classes are a mixture of lecture, hands-on experience, and dedicated Q&A time. Class and practice are in the main space, while the bar lounge is open 7pm-12am if you want to arrive early or leave late -- or just need a break. Always BYO practice items, where relevant, though we will always have a selection on hand.

Our teacher: Lady Euphoria Sol is a Transformational Lifestyle & Professional Dominatrix, BDSM Educator, Coach and Ritualist. Her work centers inner exploration, shadow work and energetics in pursuit of Euphoria. She is most recently known for her role as former founding headmistress and curator of 7 Days of Domination, a quarterly week-long series of educational kink talks from worldwide BDSM experts.

Bedroom Badass is our series of workshops to take couples and individuals through various steps in opening up their relationships, or in exploring more adventurous sexual experiences. Whether you're a total novice or an old pro, each class has a range of information relevant to all experience levels.

Order in dinner, have a few drinks, run a friendly board game, or just read a book on your own. This is not a mixer -- just us opening our doors for our members. It's up to you how much you socialize, if at all, and with whom.

HoS has always been about building community first and playtime second, and this new night in particular will welcome both novices and veterans into a safe space for dialogue and exploration, winding down and opening up, and most of all -- connecting to their deeper selves and to each other.

We begin with gentle icebreakers to spark laughter and warmth, then move into a sharing circle where prompts invite stories, questions, or reflections around intimacy, power, play, and everything in between. This is a great time to ask follow up questions about previous workshops or request future ones. As a fun bonus, you might get a mini demo or taster from an upcoming workshop, too. End the evening with freeform socializing and deeper conversations, or practice your new Bedroom Badass skills under the teacher's supervision.

DDD is a queer-forward kink-friendly goth dance celebration, inviting all participants to let go, dance and play in our luscious private loft. We embrace all genders and sexualities and levels of darkness.
 
On decks: resident DJ Shiver has been bringing the best of darkwave, goth, industrial, and post-punk sounds since 2015. Having spun at Femme Fest LA, Defcon NYC, and co-founding clubs Dolce Vita and Physical Ruins, she continues to blend both beloved classics and the best of new dark music. She also runs Wire Trap music magazine featuring the best new darkwave and post-punk music and events.

Light kink play welcome, but please note there is no dedicated dungeon setup or dedicated monitors. Consent and polite party behavior strictly enforced.

Dress code: goth, fetish, romantic, vampire, dark Lolita, neo-Victorian, steampunk, ninja warrior. Effort required / no casual wear.
