Hello lovelies,

We've seen wonderful growth this spring so far, with new events and members, and more folks at all events. But we have also lost more members than usual, as more people move in spring when the weather gets warmer. We are committed to expanding our programming and community despite these losses, and we would love to have you on board for this new phase. Your memberships are what keeps House of Scorpio alive! Help us exist by signing up or upgrading your membership, and we will be here with a strong community for both fun and support.

In fact, here are more of the positive changes around here:
- Lady Euphoria is officially on board as the new Lip Service host! She will be there to look out for all you new folks, to connect members new and old, and generally be the welcoming face of HoS as you step through the door. New and unsure how this works? We got you!
- To help social connections, we are introducing a new sticker system at Taste The Rainbow and Lip Service: shy unicorns and social butterflies can now identify themselves without saying a word. Unicorns: say hi to the butterflies! They love talking to new folks. Butterflies: say hi to the unicorns! They're new or shy or both, and could use a friendly face.
- Our new mid-month social is getting named Aftercare, and its entire aim is to help members to connect to their deeper selves and to each other through guided participatory experiences. If you fear you might be lost at an event with no guidance, or are overwhelmed by this whole sx-positive lifestyle idea, or not sure if you can fit into the community, start here! We will hold your hand, sometimes literally.

Here's what's coming up in May:

- In two days! This Thur 5.1 - Taste The Rainbow: community social ($0-10, open to non-members) - New month, new mixer! Every first Thursday of the month is your chance to start a new journey with HoS: no requirements, just an open door to anyone curious. We promise, we're very friendly.

- Next Fri 5.9 - Lip Service: pansexual makeout party ($0-25, members only) - our beloved cozy, cute & wholesome kissing party. Wear your sexy best and lock lips with just your play partner(s) or other guests at the one event where making out all night is not just acceptable, but encouraged! Reminder: LS is the ONLY event where you can get vetted in person for Countdown and any other play events; otherwise you have to follow the steps outlined on the HoS site.

- Wed 5.14 - Bedroom Badass with Lady Euphoria ($0-30, open to non-members) - A crowd favorite: Intro to Sensation Play. Learn how to engage all senses in your play for a more thrilling full-body experience.

- Fri 5.16 - Saints & Sinners ($0-50, members only) - oh yes, it's back with the warm weather, and you better be ready! The one and only pop-up skrip clerb fit for the HoS fam. Full lineup TK next week, a few teaser names below. IYKYK.

- Wed 5.21 - Aftercare: guided social with Lady Euphoria ($0-10, open to non-members) - So..."Aftercare"? What do you think? We wanted to express that this is the event where we can offer the most support, one on one attention, interaction, dialogue, and other ways to create deeper connection than just social chat -- though of course we will leave time for that, too.

- Fri 5.23 - Dark DecaDance: goth dance & kink social party ($0-20, open to non-members) - A kink-friendly goth dance party. Earlybird -$5 tickets until Fri May 16!

- Sat 5.24 - Countdown: pansexual play party ($0-50, members only) - Come play fully in our luscious space, with your partner or consenting others. Approvals available in person at Lip Service, or via email as per instructions on our site.

We get asked all the time how people can join HoS if they are shy, don't have like-minded friends, lack PALs for play parties, have no idea how this whole thing works, don't feel like jumping into sexy activity but want to connect to open-minded humans, etc. This party is the answer!

Calling all LGBTQIA+, poly, kink, swinger and other "alternative" dating/sex/gender-aligned humans and their allies. We're creating a protected and judgment-free space for connections, conversations, community, games and interactivity. This is the key HoS event open to non-members. Come meet us before you join!

For those of you new to it all: direct introductions to HoS members new and old; facilitated discussions on poly, kink and swinger lifestyles; icebreaker games to welcome you to our club.

For our regulars: a way to ease new friends into our scene; a chance to meet all the new faces you may want to kiss later; a visit with the community even if your PAL is not around.

For everyone: tabletop and social games, both risqué and plain fun; a charming host to make the introductions and explain all things HoS and sex-positive, and a cozy setting for conversations and future kisses. Our main icebreaker game, HoS Guest Bingo, runs from 7:30pm until we have a winner: get to know everyone in the room, and win a drink if you complete your bingo card.

Miss Scorpio is back hosting the mixer! Come ask her directly anything you want to know about this community. We've been building it for you for 10+ years, and hope to be here for 10+ more.

The most thrilling experiences in life engage multiple senses. Tap into this deep well by developing your sensory play skills! In this crash course, we'll talk about the senses, how to play with them individually and use them together to build an exhilarating play scene. We'll talk about common sensory activities -- like using different textures, bondage, impact play and sensation deprivation. We'll also talk about how to layer certain sensations to create specific sensory experiences. While this is an introduction workshop, we will touch on how varied sensation play can be and how you can truly customize it to your bodies and preferences. Feel free to bring toys your curious about and be ready to ask questions on how to incorporate a new sense into your play!

Class and practice are in the main space, while the bar lounge is open 7pm-12am if you want to arrive early or leave late -- or just need a break. Always BYO practice items, where relevant, though we will always have a selection on hand.

Our teacher: Lady Euphoria Sol is a Transformational Lifestyle & Professional Dominatrix, BDSM Educator, Coach and Ritualist. Her work centers inner exploration, shadow work and energetics in pursuit of Euphoria. She is most recently known for her role as former founding headmistress and curator of 7 Days of Domination, a quarterly week-long series of educational kink talks from worldwide BDSM experts.

Bedroom Badass is our series of workshops to take couples and individuals through various steps in opening up their relationships, or in exploring more adventurous sexual experiences. Whether you're a total novice or an old pro, each class has a range of information relevant to all experience levels.

While the ticketed activities take place in the main space, the bar area remains open 7pm-11pm (12am if enough people are lounging). Order in dinner, have a few drinks, run a friendly board game, or just read a book on your own. This is not a mixer -- just us opening our doors for our members. It's up to you how much you socialize, if at all, and with whom.

HoS has always been about building community first and playtime second, and this new night in particular will welcome both novices and veterans into a safe space for dialogue and exploration, winding down and opening up, and most of all -- connecting to their deeper selves and to each other.

We begin with gentle icebreakers to spark laughter and warmth, then move into a sharing circle where prompts invite stories, questions, or reflections around intimacy, power, play, and everything in between. This is a great time to ask follow up questions about previous workshops or request future ones. As a fun bonus, you might get a mini demo or taster from an upcoming workshop, too. End the evening with freeform socializing and deeper conversations, or practice your new Bedroom Badass skills under the teacher's supervision.
