ICYMI in the last email, here are all our big updates for April. It's a busy month for us (NINE events in all!), and we're excited to have so many opportunities to connect to prospective, new and existing members. If you haven't yet signed up, this month is a great time to join -- especially if you sign up before Thursday's mixer! Membership is instant and starts at just $5, and it makes the $10 mixer ticket FREE.

- We keep getting requests for more ways for people to meet each other and build their connections and community. We're making a big change that will help: ALL social and educational events are now open to non-members, though members of course still get discounts and perks (no ticket fees, guest registrations, Lip Service guest passes, personal info stored in our secure system, etc). - Our longtime teacher Lady Euphoria is now officially a G&S Loft resident creator, taking over 2nd through 4th Wednesdays of the month, plus hosting her own events, workshops and meetups in our location. Make sure you get on her mail list as well as stay tuned to ours to see what she might be getting ready to bring here: https://bit.ly/422gs81

- Our 2025 Bedroom Badass classes with Euphoria so far have been a whole new level of experience. We've taken it down to fundamental building blocks of sx-pos, kink & poly knowledge, and each time people leave feeling like they are growing by leaps and bounds. This path is now official: every 2nd Wednesday will be a "don't miss it" level of fundamental knowledge class, easily understood by newbies, but offering new ways of seeing to those with more experience. Each class is limited in size, with a great deal of personal attention devoted to each student and their personal path. Don't worry if you miss a class or two along the way: each class will open with a brief review before plunging into new territory.

- Feel like you have a handle on basics and want to get in way, way deeper? Our 4th Wednesday classes are for you. Feel free to request niche and esoteric topics; if we see trends in what people are asking for, we will schedule classes to YOUR desires. We also ask this question in every existing class, where your vote counts even more as an attendee. And yes, more rope workshops are coming.

- 3rd Wednesdays are getting a new kink social! This yet-to-be-named event will kick off on Apr 16 with a launch that is also Lady Euphoria's Birthday party. Expect introductions, icebreakers, guided dialogue, room for Q&A, reviews and previews of our classes, and lots of socializing with fellow kinksters. We might even have room in the future to add a second brief event on the same night, so let us know if you know anyone who's been looking for a way to host something similar and needs an understanding and affordable location.

- All this means that our Sinema Club is finally moving to Sundays! We've been getting this request for a while, and are excited to be able to make it happen. First date is Sun Apr 27, but we're not yet sure which Sunday of the month will be our permanent home.

Start at the mixer and meet community members old and new, ask all the questions you need, and pick up your 2025 Lip Service guest passes. We're the right place for all genders, orientations, and levels of experience for all those looking to live a more open sx-pos lifestyle and a safe place to be themselves in.

- Wed 4.9 - Bedroom Badass ($0-30, open to non-members) - Intro to Scene Building 1 - Now that we've covered communication and negotiation, next up is the topic that can baffle even many pros: how do you actually create a "scene" with your partner that explores all those exciting ideas you may have talked about and negotiated for? It's one thing to know what physical activities you want to engage in, but how do you make that fantasy a navigable reality that can bring the most pleasure to all parties, and flow smoothly from point to point? We're here to tell you how!

- Fri 4.14 - Lip Service: pansexual makeout party ($0-25, members only) - the cozy, cute & wholesome kissing party. Wear your sexy best and lock lips with just your play partner(s) or other guests at the one event where making out all night is not just acceptable, but encouraged! Reminder: LS is the ONLY event where you can get vetted in person for Countdown and any other play events; otherwise you have to follow the steps outlined on the HoS site.

- Wed 4.16 - Brand new kink social & Lady Euphoria's Birthday party! ($0-15, open to non-members). As guided and freeform of a social event as YOU make it, open to everyone from kink-curious to pros. Come with your questions, experiences, and even tools, if you may want a technique correction or have a specific inquiry. This is NOT a play event, but demos are welcome for learning & sharing purposes.

- Fri 4.18 - FemFlirt + MeetMarket ($0-20, members only) - Internet dating is just awful these days, right? Let's flirt in person. Half the room is dedicated to a safe and encouraging space for fem & NB flirting, with bonus flirting class by Vonka, and half the room is for all-gender flirting. The bar is a social safe space with no flirting, just friendly chat. Singles and dating non-singles of all genders and orientations welcome.

- Wed 4.23 - Bedroom Badass ($0-30, open to non-members) - Creating Routines & Rituals in Kink Play - Now that you have the basics, we can start getting advanced! Kink can be a way to access deep trance-like internal states and deeply meaningful connections with your play partners. Elevate your experience by exploring routines and rituals that help reach those magical moments.

- Fri 4.25 - Dark DecaDance ($0-20, open to non-members) - a classic goth dance party in a queer-forward space, with light kink play welcome.

- Sat 4.26 - Countdown: pansexual play party ($0-50, members only) - Come play fully, with your partner or consenting others. Approval required for this one!

- Sun 4.27 - Sinema Club: exploring gender & sexuality on screen ($0-10, open to non-members) - this month: Oscar winner Anora & SW documentary short One Leg In, One Leg Out.

We get asked all the time how people can join HoS if they are shy, don't have like-minded friends, lack PALs for play parties, have no idea how this whole thing works, don't feel like jumping into sexy activity but want to connect to open-minded humans, etc. This party is the answer!

Calling all LGBTQIA+, poly, kink, swinger and other "alternative" dating/sex/gender-aligned humans and their allies. We're creating a protected and judgment-free space for connections, conversations, community, games and interactivity. This is the key HoS event open to non-members. Come meet us before you join!

For those of you new to it all: direct introductions to HoS members new and old; facilitated discussions on poly, kink and swinger lifestyles; icebreaker games to welcome you to our club.

For our regulars: a way to ease new friends into our scene; a chance to meet all the new faces you may want to kiss later; a visit with the community even if your PAL is not around.

For everyone: tabletop and social games, both risqué and plain fun; a charming host to make the introductions and explain all things HoS and sex-positive, and a cozy setting for conversations and future kisses. Our main icebreaker game, HoS Guest Bingo, runs from 7:30pm until we have a winner: get to know everyone in the room, and win a drink if you complete your bingo card.

Miss Scorpio is back hosting the mixer! Come ask her directly anything you want to know about this community. We've been building it for you for 10+ years, and hope to be here for 10+ more.

With communication and negotiation now in your toolbox, fantasy can be made into reality with a little skill-building and scene crafting. In this beginner course, we'll talk about how to build scenes using mood and tone, how to stay creative in your approach, and how to create point of departure that leaves room for exploration. We’ll talk about using connection points to drive a scene, and having intention in your tools and activities. Go beyond standard roleplay or D/s with the creative tools in this workshop...you can build any fantasy you desire, if you learn these steps. (If you missed the communication and negotiation classes, come early for a brief review!)

- What is a scene point-of-departure?

All BB classes are a mixture of lecture, hands-on experience, and dedicated Q&A time. After class, stay for dedicated practice & play time to help you solidify your skills, while our teacher remains available for guidance. Class and practice are in the main space, while the bar lounge is open 7pm-12am if you want to arrive early or leave late -- or just need a break. Always BYO practice items, where relevant, though we will always have a selection on hand.

Our teacher: Lady Euphoria Sol is a Transformational Lifestyle & Professional Dominatrix, BDSM Educator, Coach and Ritualist. Her work centers inner exploration, shadow work and energetics in pursuit of Euphoria. She is most recently known for her role as former founding headmistress and curator of 7 Days of Domination, a quarterly week-long series of educational kink talks from worldwide BDSM experts.

Bedroom Badass is our series of workshops to take couples and individuals through various steps in opening up their relationships, or in exploring more adventurous sexual experiences. Whether you're a total novice or an old pro, each class has a range of information relevant to all experience levels.

Order in dinner, have a few drinks, run a friendly board game, or just read a book on your own. This is not a mixer -- just us opening our doors for our members. It's up to you how much you socialize, if at all, and with whom.

Starting in April, we're transforming our Wednesday nights into open-to-all social and educational evenings. HoS has always been about building community first and playtime second, and this night in particular will welcome both kink novices and veterans into a safe space for dialogue and exploration.

As a community event, this new monthly gathering will feature icebreakers, guided dialogue, storytelling, and lots of Q&A. As an extension of our classes, this night will be a place for follow-up questions, reviews and previews, and a way to request future workshops. For those of you who always ask how to meet potential partners and play PALs, finally: two flirting parties in one. We'll divide our large space in two, and run the events simultaneously.

On the dance floor & stage - FemFlirt: fem & non-binary mixer & makeout party. In the lounge - MeetMarket: pansexual flirting party. In the bar - a neutral zone for everyone to take a break from flirting. Save it for your chosen half of the room (or if you're lucky enough, both halves).

For femmes & NB folks: FemFlirt

It's been a common refrain that it's harder for women to flirt with each other, as they frequently can't tell how much flirting may be ok, who's straight and who's open, and whether a connection they may be feeling is a friendly one or one with potential chemistry to explore. And, when cis & hetero presenting, they are sometimes made to feel too straight for gay spaces, and invisible or too queer in mixed environments. The same frequently holds for GNC/NB folks, too.

This event is a small step towards diminishing pan, queer and gay femme/NB invisibility, enabling and encouraging those folks to connect romantically and physically to others like them, wherever they fall on the gender presentation spectrum.

8-9pm: bonus Flirting for Femmes class with Vonka, which includes practical exercises -- a great way to meet everyone in the room you may want to flirt with later. 9-11pm: social games and icebreakers. As the night progresses, we go from mixer to makeouts, with Spin The Bottle and other sexy games.

Who can attend: self-identifying women and GNC/NB humans who want to connect with other women and GNC/NB humans.

For everyone: MeetMarket

We put our "no cruising" rule on hold and encourage all guests to shamelessly hit on each other. An all-gender, all-orientation flirting party to help you find a partner (or two) to cozy up with in the colder months. Our PAL rule is on hold as well: come alone or bring a stranger. The body's largest sex organ is the brain. Sinema Club stimulates yours with films that are explicitly erotic, homo-romantic, or gender-exploring -- and always thought-provoking. A rousing discussion follows; drinking is encouraged throughout, and mingling happens before, during and after: the bar lounge remains open for socializing, while the film plays in the main space. Amouse bouche: ONE LEG IN, ONE LEG OUT (2018) - A documentary short by Lisa Rideout. After a decade as a sex worker, Iman attempts to pursue her dream of becoming a social worker to help her transgender community members.

Main feature: ANORA (2024) - Surprising Oscar winner, and a movie that's been in our queue since premiering, by a director we trust to depict queer and SWer lives since his earliest works, Sean Baker (Tangerine, The Florida Project)

Sinema Club is curated and hosted by Phil Guie-Ng (@thatphilguymovies): an inquisitive, ardent longtime film critic who is dying to tell you about movies you haven't heard of yet. As a reviewer at the website Film-Forward, his self-appointed mission was covering documentaries and features about subjects who challenged conventional attitudes about gender, masculinity, and more. When Phil isn't writing about movies, you can find him in Brooklyn taking part in protests on behalf of basic human rights.
