We wanted to land this in your inbox to give you plenty of time to prepare for Lip Service on Friday and think ahead to Saints *next week*. Remember that Lip Service is the only event where we can do in-person approvals!

- This Fri 11.8 - Lip Service ($0-25, members only) - pansexual makeout party - Your next step to get to know the community, before we get down to the extra fun stuff. This one has an R rating, and some very fun games and activities. You can also get approved for play events in person, ONLY at LS.

- Next Wed 11.13 - Bedroom Badass ($0-30, members only) - Mx Fox is back with us to teach one of their signature workshops: Tool Free Torture, with part 1 focused on things you can do with just your mouth, and part 2 focused on things you can do with just your hands. If you've ever felt like getting into k!nk meant a huge investment in dedicated tools, this is your opportunity to learn otherwise.

- Next Fri 11.15 - Are you approved yet (this is different than being a member)? We are hosting one of those special Saintly dancer evenings and a *brand new afterparty*, but the full invite is only available to approved members (basic invite below). See the site for approval instructions, or get approved in person at Lip Service.

- Wed 11.20 - Sinema Club ($0-10, members only) - This is a special one! Dark Is The Night with talkback guest James Avalon. If you know your adult film history, you should know that he is A Big Deal as director, cinematographer and editor (see: Zazel), and he will be calling in to the club after the movie!

- Fri 11.22 - Dark DecaDance ($0-20, open to all) - we missed DDD last week because of Persephone, but it's back with all the goth anthems you love, and no membership requirement. Light kink play is ok, but there's no dungeon setup and no dedicated safety monitors.

11.13, 11.20 - Every Wednesday: House of Scorpio Clubhouse. Whatever your membership level, you are invited to use our space as your own for the night...as your clubhouse. While classes & movie nights take place in the main space, the bar and lounge remain open 7pm-11pm (12am if enough people are lounging). Just like with regular events, if you're Friend level and above, you can bring up to two friends with you. Order in dinner, have a few drinks, run a friendly board game, or just read a book on the comfy couch. This is not a mixer -- just us opening our doors for our members. It's up to you how much you socialize, if at all, and with whom. Miss Scorpio will be there herself running the bar and her vintage, designer & statement clothing boutique, so come have a drink and play dress-up.

If there's interest enough, we'll run the Clubhouse weekly, which means adding another stage-side activity on the first Wednesday of the month: kinky skill share? saucy life drawing? sassy photo sessions? What would you like to see happen? Let us know, and we'll work on setting it up.

P1: Chompology: The art and science of biting

Biting is such a simple yet powerful way to play. We will explore this delightfully dynamic technique and all of the ways it can be used for pain, pleasure and adding an extra spark to your scenes.

Some topics to be covered:
- Anatomy and safety in using biting
- Effective negotiation techniques for play and consent
- Different types of bites using different parts of your mouth
- Techniques to create an entire scene with just one bite
- Sucking, drooling, dragging and marks
- Using a bite as communication and setting the tone for a scene

P2: Digital wizardry: Sadism at your fingertips

We all love toys, but we often forget just how much we can do with just our hands! This class will go over all the dynamic things you can do with just your fingertips including blowing your bottoms mind without ever touching their bits or butts.

Some topics to be covered:
- Effective negotiation techniques for play and consent
- Understanding anatomy and how to find the right spots (nerves vs muscles vs skin)
- Pressure points
- Poking at the soft and strange bits, bringing attention to lesser touched places
- Impact techniques and varying sensations
- Pain and pleasure techniques while poking around bits

All BB classes are a mixture of lecture, hands- on experience, and dedicated Q&A time. New in 2023: we're adding dedicated practice & play time after class, to help you solidify your skills, while our teacher remains available for guidance. Class and practice are in the main space, while the bar lounge is open 7pm- 12am if you want to arrive early or leave late - - or just need a break. Always BYO practice items, where relevant, hough we will always have a selection on hand.

Our teacher: Mx Fox is a Femme Domme, Kink educator and Relationship & Intimacy coach who has been in the scene for 8 years. Whether you're experienced or new to the scene, Fox loves to work with folks of all levels to help them feel excited to express themselves shamelessly and of course, have hotter safer and sexier relationships.

Bedroom Badass is our series of workshops to take couples and individuals through various steps in opening up their relationships, or in exploring more adventurous sexual experiences. Whether you're a total novice or an old pro, each class has a range of information relevant to all experience levels.

The body's largest sex organ is the brain. Sinema Club stimulates yours with films that are explicitly erotic, homo-romantic, or gender-exploring -- and always thought-provoking. A rousing discussion follows; drinking is encouraged throughout, and mingling happens before, during and after: the bar remains open for socializing, while the film plays in the main space. Plus: free popcorn from our vintage cart. Order dinner in, and make it dinner and a movie.
 
Before taking a break for Halloween, Sinema Club's Es-Sin-tial Filmmakers Series screened ZAZEL (1997), edited by the highly talented and prolific James Avalon. This month, we return the focus on Mr Avalon with his 2022 masterwork DARK IS THE NIGHT, an ambitious and lusciously X-rated film noir he wrote, directed, shot & edited. A mysterious boarder (Seth Gamble) gets entangled with the attractive young landlord couple (Kenna James and Nathan Bronson). Questionable loyalties, unfaithful characters, and plenty of treachery are as classic here as the high-contrast, shadowy cinematography.
 
We will be joined by Mr. Avalon himself for a talkback following the screening, during which we'll discuss DARK IS THE NIGHT, ZAZEL, and a career that has spanned over 300 films and counting.
 
Sinema Club is curated and hosted by Phil Guie-Ng (@thatphilguymovies): an inquisitive, ardent longtime film critic who is dying to tell you about movies you haven't heard of yet. As a reviewer at the website Film-Forward, his self-appointed mission was covering documentaries and features about subjects who challenged conventional attitudes about gender, masculinity, and more. When Phil isn't writing about movies, you can find him in Brooklyn taking part in protests on behalf of basic human rights.
