- Tomorrow! Wed 10.23 - Bedroom Badass ($0-30, members only) - You've been asking, and here it is: Rope Play 101! This is the second class in the series, where you will learn to broaden your skills a bit. We provide all supplies; you come get adventurous. Prior experience / class 1 attendance NOT required, but please be on time to catch the initial/refresher instructions. Free rope practice after. [Joined in July? You get $15 tickets! - Fri 10.25 - our grand Halloween Persephone event is back ($0-50, members only) - Kinky cabaret meets dungeon play party, against our Dark Decadance goth dance backdrop. Dark music, dark vibes, happy playtime.

- Thur 10.31 - Cute Halloween ($0, open to all) - G&S is testing out a new party idea...a Halloween with all the costumed excess treats but none of the horror tricks. Blood and gore are not for everyone! Come get cute with us. All ages, as well!

- Fri 11.1 - Taste The Rainbow ($0-10, open to all) - We're excited to bring back play events, starting in November...which means you should develop those social connections with your fellow members. HoS is a community first and foremost. Join up as a member and come to this free mixer to get to know us.

- Fri 11.8 - Lip Service ($0-25, members only) - pansexual makeout party - Your next step to get to know the community, before we get down to the extra fun stuff. This one has an R rating, and some very fun games and activities.

- Fri 11.15 - Are you approved yet? Going to do something fun, but this invite will only go out to our approved members. See the site for instructions, or get approved in person at Lip Service.

- Wed 11.20 - Sinema Club ($0-10, members only) - tix TK shortly, but save the date for a very special film night: Dark Is The Night with special guest James Avalon. If you know your adult film history, you should know that this guy is A Big Deal, and he will be calling in personally to the club after the movie!

9.11, 9.18, 9.25 - Every Wednesday: House of Scorpio Clubhouse. Whatever your membership level, you are invited to use our space as your own for the night...as your clubhouse. While classes & movie nights take place in the main space, the bar and lounge remain open 7pm-11pm (12am if enough people are lounging). Just like with regular events, if you're Friend level and above, you can bring up to two friends with you. Order in dinner, have a few drinks, run a friendly board game, or just read a book on the comfy couch. This is not a mixer -- just us opening our doors for our members. It's up to you how much you socialize, if at all, and with whom. Miss Scorpio will be there herself running the bar and her vintage, designer & statement clothing boutique, so come have a drink and play dress-up.

If there's interest enough, we'll run the Clubhouse weekly, which means adding another stage-side activity on the first Wednesday of the month: kinky skill share? saucy life drawing? sassy photo sessions? What would you like to see happen? Let us know, and we'll work on setting it up.

Although rope seems like the obvious choice of bondage material to many, it is a very difficult medium for beginners to manipulate properly. We will make it easy for you by introducing basic safety and tool concepts before moving onto basic rope restraint techniques. These rope ties can be used decoratively and restrictively in a variety of positions, which can be customized to meet yours and your partners' physical abilities and personal goals.

- Beginner friendly wrist & ankle cuffs with options
- Even simpler beginner-friendly cuffs with options
- Basic chest harness with flexibility options
- Simple full body harness

All BB classes are a mixture of lecture, hands-on experience, and dedicated Q&A time. After class, stay for dedicated practice & play time to help you solidify your skills, while our teacher remains available for guidance. Class and practice are in the main space, while the bar lounge is open 7pm-12am if you want to arrive early or leave late -- or just need a break. Always BYO practice items, where relevant, though we will always have a selection on hand.

Our teacher: Multithreaded/Mike (he/him) is a long time rope enthusiast with 10+ years of experience in the NYC Rope/Kink community. He enjoys exploring the power and versatility of rope as a creative act of communication, connection, and shared experience through an improvisational and observant style. He also enjoys sharing knowledge and helping others along their rope journey.

We get asked all the time how people can join HoS if they are shy, don't have like-minded friends, lack PALs for play parties, have no idea how this whole thing works, don't feel like jumping into sexy activity but want to connect to open-minded humans, etc. This party is the answer!

Calling all LGBTQIA+, poly, kink, swinger and other "alternative" dating/sex/gender-aligned humans and their allies. We're creating a protected and judgment-free space for connections, conversations, community, games and interactivity. This is the key HoS event open to non-members. Come meet us before you join!

For those of you new to it all: direct introductions to HoS members new and old; facilitated discussions on poly, kink and swinger lifestyles; icebreaker games to welcome you to our club.

For our regulars: a way to ease new friends into our scene; a chance to meet all the new faces you may want to kiss later; a visit with the community even if your PAL is not around.

For everyone: tabletop and social games, both risqué and plain fun; a charming host to make the introductions and explain all things HoS and sex-positive, and a cozy setting for conversations and future kisses. Our main icebreaker game, HoS Guest Bingo, runs from 7:30pm until we have a winner: get to know everyone in the room, and win a drink if you complete your bingo card.

The body's largest sex organ is the brain. Sinema Club stimulates yours with films that are explicitly erotic, homo-romantic, or gender-exploring -- and always thought-provoking. A rousing discussion follows; drinking is encouraged throughout, and mingling happens before, during and after: the bar remains open for socializing, while the film plays in the main space. Before taking a break for Halloween, Sinema Club's Es-Sin-tial Filmmakers Series screened ZAZEL (1997), edited by the highly talented and prolific James Avalon. This month, we return the focus on Mr. Avalon with his 2022 masterwork DARK IS THE NIGHT, an ambitious and lusciously X-rated film noir he wrote, directed, shot & edited. A mysterious boarder (Seth Gamble) gets entangled with the attractive young landlord couple (Kenna James and Nathan Bronson). Questionable loyalties, unfaithful characters, and plenty of treachery are as classic here as the high-contrast, shadowy cinematography.

We will be joined by Mr. Avalon himself for a talkback following the screening, during which we'll discuss DARK IS THE NIGHT, ZAZEL, and a career that has spanned over 300 films and counting.
 
Sinema Club is curated and hosted by Phil Guie-Ng (@thatphilguymovies): an inquisitive, ardent longtime film critic who is dying to tell you about movies you haven't heard of yet. As a reviewer at the website Film-Forward, his self-appointed mission was covering documentaries and features about subjects who challenged conventional attitudes about gender, masculinity, and more. When Phil isn't writing about movies, you can find him in Brooklyn taking part in protests on behalf of basic human rights.
