7.10, 7.17, 7.24 - Every Wednesday: House of Scorpio Clubhouse. Whatever your membership level, you are invited to use our space as your own for the night...as your clubhouse. While classes & movie nights take place in the main space, the bar and lounge remain open 7pm-11pm (12am if enough people are lounging). Just like with regular events, if you're Friend level and above, you can bring up to two friends with you. Order in dinner, have a few drinks, run a friendly board game, or just read a book on the comfy couch. This is not a mixer -- just us opening our doors for our members. It's up to you how much you socialize, if at all, and with whom. Miss Scorpio will be there herself running the bar and her vintage, designer & statement clothing boutique, so come have a drink and play dress-up.

Historically, BDSM has focused on embodying the roles of Dominant and submissive within cisgender, heterosexual male/female relationships. This often pressures individuals to mirror these traditional expressions. But how do these definitions change in the context of queerness and gender-fluid relationships? This class will explore how to express power and service across a gender spectrum, drawing from masculine, feminine, and non-binary identities to help participants authentically express themselves in these roles.

Some topics to be covered:
- Understanding the basics of D/s and power exchange
- Understanding the way gender has historically influenced the roles of D/s
- How to find the gender expression that works best for you and apply it to D/s
- How to embody your role according to your excitements
- How to incorporate gender fluidity in your play  
- Finding which side of the slash is most exciting for you

All BB classes are a mixture of lecture, hands-on experience, and dedicated Q&A time. After class, stay for dedicated practice & play time to help you solidify your skills, while our teacher remains available for guidance. Class and practice are in the main space, while the bar lounge is open 7pm-11pm if you want to arrive early or leave late -- or just need a break. Always BYO practice items, where relevant, though we will always have a selection on hand.

Our teacher: Mx Fox is a femme domme, kink educator and relationship & intimacy coach who has been in the scene since 2016. Fox loves to work with folks of all levels to help them feel excited to express themselves shamelessly, and of course to have hotter, safer and sexier relationships.

Bedroom Badass is our series of workshops to take couples and individuals through various steps in opening up their relationships, or in exploring more adventurous sexual experiences. Whether you're a total novice or an old pro, each class has a range of information relevant to all experience levels.

Barbarella (1968): a campy sci-fi classic by Roger Vadim based on the French comic series of the same name. Who gives up the pill? Who takes sex to outer space? Who's the girl of the 21st century? Who nearly dies of pleasure? Who seduces an angel? Who strips in space? In the year 40,000, a stunningly attractive adventurer named Barbarella (Jane Fonda) is assigned by the President of the Republic of Earth (Claude Dauphin) to track down an evil scientist. Iconic visuals ensue.

Flash Gordon (1980): Babarella's spiritual twin, Flash Gordon, is a clean-cut All-American football quarterback leading a battle to unite the warring factions of the planet Mongo against the oppression of Ming the Merciless (von Sydow), who is intent on destroying Earth. Equally nonsensical and visually stunning, this is another classic campy space-opera comic adaptation (directed by Mike Hodges).

Sinema Club is curated and hosted by Phil Guie-Ng (@thatphilguymovies): an inquisitive, ardent longtime film critic who is dying to tell you about movies you haven't heard of yet. As a reviewer at the website Film-Forward, his self-appointed mission was covering documentaries and features about subjects who challenged conventional attitudes about gender, masculinity, and more. When Phil isn't writing about movies, you can find him in Brooklyn taking part in protests on behalf of basic human rights.

We get asked all the time how people can join HoS if they are shy, don't have like-minded friends, lack PALs for play parties, have no idea how this whole thing works, don't feel like jumping into sexy activity but want to connect to open-minded humans, etc. This party is the answer!

Calling all LGBTQIA+, poly, kink, swinger and other "alternative" dating/sex/gender-aligned humans and their allies. We're creating a protected and judgment-free space for connections, conversations, community, games and interactivity. This is the key HoS event open to non-members. Come meet us before you join!

For those of you new to it all: direct introductions to HoS members new and old; facilitated discussions on poly, kink and swinger lifestyles; icebreaker games to welcome you to our club.

For our regulars: a way to ease new friends into our scene; a chance to meet all the new faces you may want to kiss later; a visit with the community even if your PAL is not around.

For everyone: tabletop and social games, both risqué and plain fun; a charming host to make the introductions and explain all things HoS and sex-positive, and a cozy setting for conversations and future kisses.
