Ooh look, we have brand new mail list software! There are now automated subscribes (on website) & unsubscribes (below), and we'll be able to start doing graphic emails shortly. Let us know if something is being buggy as we start using the new system!

The next upgrade we're thinking of lining up: a Discord server. Yes, we have the FB group where members can chat, but man...FB just *sucks* and we haven't yet found an all-in member software we love. Would you guys want to connect to each other socially this way? This would be for all members, $5+.

And speaking of membership: we're doing a Pride member drive! We've got a full calendar up ahead, and we're about to spend big bucks on a kitchen upgrade in our magic Loft, so we can offer full food service by end of summer. We need you, and we hope you want to join us. As thanks, anyone who signs up for a membership in June will get their 6th month (Nov) FREE, as well as $15 tickets to all classes and FREE movie nights every month until then. - Thur 6.6 - Taste The Rainbow ($0-10, open to non-members) - Pride month kick-off mixer! You know this one always pops off. Pride month is the right time to embrace a wider understanding of your own, your partners' and your friends' gender, orientation and sexuality. This wider understanding and the growth of this community is really why we're here. Two fun extras at this one: test out a new music-into-vibrations toy and a Pride fashion preview of our racks as we get ready for...

- Sat 6.8 (day) - Brooklyn Pride ($FREE, open to non-members) - We loved doing this last year: G&S/HoS will have their own setup again at Brooklyn Pride on 5th Ave in Park Slope! Expect an all-gender festival & partywear clothing pop-up, plus a rainbow selfie photo booth. Please let us know if you may want to volunteer to hang with us a bit (we'll have drinks & snacks for everyone who does this). It's also a great time to chat to us about events you may want to see us host, or your own events you may want to see happen here.

- Sat 6.8 (eve) - Dynasty Dance ($FREE, open to non-members) - a Dynasty-themed retro dance party blowout! Break out those sequins and shake your booty to best of 80s 90s Y2K pop & dance. We'll get the RSVP together shortly so we can figure out how many of you to expect.

- Wed 6.12 - Bedroom Badass w Fox ($0-30, members only) + HoS Clubhouse (FREE or $5 to join as member) - still figuring out a topic, stay tuned...

- Fri 6.14 - Lip Service ($0-25, members only) - pansexual makeout party - the saucy & sassy R-rated event you know and love. Pride should make this an extra good one. Did all members remember to pick up their special LS passes for the year? You can do so at the door of any HoS event.

- Wed 6.19 - Sinema Club ($0-10, members only) - our film club exploring gender, orientation and sexuality on the big screen. Movie selection TK, but since it's Pride *and* Juneteenth, we're going to pick something not just super queer but created by a Black director, starring Black leads, etc. Suggestions welcome!

- Fri 6.21 - FemFlirt - ($0-25?, open to non-members) - big question for our quarterly fem/nb only event: do you guys want the flirting class OR do you only want a social/makeout party? It felt like the preference has been for the latter lately, but let us know if we're wrong so we can set our plans and tickets correctly. For now, the plan is for a social & flirting gathering only.

5.22, 6.12, 6.19, 6.26 - we're moving our classes and movie nights to Wednesdays, and testing a new idea: House of Scorpio Clubhouse. Whatever your membership level, you are invited to use our space as your own for the night...as your clubhouse. While the ticketed activities will take place in the main space, the bar and lounge will remain open 7pm-11pm (12am if enough people are lounging). Just like with regular events, if you're Friend level and above, you can bring up to two friends with you. Order in dinner, have a few drinks, run a friendly board game, or just read a book on the comfy couch. This is not a mixer -- just us opening our doors for our members. It's up to you how much you socialize, if at all, and with whom. Miss Scorpio will be there herself running the bar and her vintage, designer & statement clothing boutique, so come have a drink and play dress-up.

If there's interest enough, we'll run the Clubhouse weekly, which means adding another stage-side activity on the first Wednesday of the month: kinky skill share? saucy life drawing? sassy photo sessions? What would you like to see happen? Let us know, and we'll work on setting it up.

Intimacy is much more than doing the deed. In this crash course, we'll talk about connection and kink, and how exploring both can build deeper intimacy with yourself and your partners. We all recognize the spark when it happens, but sustaining and exploring everything it can bring can take a bit more. Kink can be the perfect place to deeply explore your own and your partners' desires, and build the initial connection into something greater.

Our teacher: Lady Euphoria is a Transformational Lifestyle & Professional Dominatrix, BDSM Educator, Coach and Ritualist. Her work centers inner exploration, shadow work and energetics in pursuit of Euphoria. She is most recently known for her role as former founding headmistress and curator of 7 Days of Domination, a quarterly week-long series of educational kink talks from worldwide BDSM experts.

Bedroom Badass is our series of workshops to take couples and individuals through various steps in opening up their relationships, or in exploring more adventurous sexual experiences. Whether you're a total novice or an old pro, each class has a range of information relevant to all experience levels.

We get asked all the time how people can join HoS if they are shy, don't have like-minded friends, lack PALs for play parties, have no idea how this whole thing works, don't feel like jumping into sexy activity but want to connect to open-minded humans, etc. This party is the answer!

Calling all LGBTQIA+, poly, kink, swinger and other "alternative" dating/sex/gender-aligned humans and their allies. We're creating a protected and judgment-free space for connections, conversations, community, games and interactivity. This is the key HoS event open to non-members. Come meet us before you join!

For those of you new to it all: direct introductions to HoS members new and old; facilitated discussions on poly, kink and swinger lifestyles; icebreaker games to welcome you to our club.

For our regulars: a way to ease new friends into our scene; a chance to meet all the new faces you may want to kiss later; a visit with the community even if your PAL is not around.

The body's largest sex organ is the brain. Sinema Club stimulates yours with films that are explicitly erotic, homo-romantic, or gender-exploring -- and always thought-provoking. When Phil isn't writing about movies, you can find him in Brooklyn taking part in protests on behalf of basic human rights.

It's been a common refrain that it's harder for women to flirt with each other, as they frequently can't tell how much flirting may be ok, who's straight and who's open, and whether a connection they may be feeling is a friendly one or one with potential chemistry to explore. And, when cis & hetero presenting, they are sometimes made to feel too straight for gay spaces, and invisible or too queer in mixed environments. The same frequently holds for GNC/NB folks, too.

This event is a small step towards diminishing pan, queer and gay femme/NB invisibility, enabling and encouraging those folks to connect romantically and physically to others like them, wherever they fall on the gender presentation spectrum. We hope to be a place of empowerment and support for your exploration, even if you're just starting out or are unsure about your orientation. Explore and push your boundaries in a safe space, while enjoying our lush intimate Loft and delicious cocktails.

We will start the event with social games and introductions to make everyone feel welcome. As the night progresses, we go from mixer to makeouts, with Spin The Bottle and other sexier games.

Dress code: dress in whatever makes you feel sexy, however feminine or masculine you feel. We won't enforce the dress code as strictly as at Lip Service, but we respectfully ask for no casual attire. You're coming to flirt!

Who can attend: self-identifying women and GNC/NB humans who want to connect with other women and GNC/NB humans. While HoS events are usually more pan-gendered and pan-sexual, we're going to keep this one as a safe space without cis men. Important: HoS is a TERF-free zone!
